EFIS Travel Grants

 

The European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) will be awarding 200 travel grants at the value of EURO 600.- each for young post-docs and PhD-students under 35 years of age requesting financial support to attend the ECI 2015.

Application deadline: extended until May 10, 2015.

To be eligible for an EFIS travel grant, the applicant must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted to the ECI 2015. The applicant must also be a member of an EFIS member society and must be based in an EFIS member country.

To apply, please first submit an abstract via the online abstract submission system on the ECI 2015 website and then go to the EFIS Website to submit your CV and proof of membership in good standing with an EFIS member society.

Successful applicants will be notified of their award by June 19, 2015. Please note that grants will be paid by bank transfer after ECI 2015 has taken place: in no cases will advance payments be made. In order to claim their award, grant holders will be required to confirm their attendance during the congress c/o the EFIS booth in the ECI Immunology Village. Please also note that only one grant will be allocated per person and the grant cannot be transferred or cumulated with another travel grant awarded by another organization.

National Society Travel Grants

 

You can apply for a national society travel grant during abstract submission via the online abstract submission system. All applications will first be reviewed with regards to the eligibility criteria for an EFIS Travel Grant. Those applications which could not be considered for an EFIS Travel Grant will be forwarded to the respective National Member Societies in order to be reviewed for a National Society Grant by the respective National Member Society.

Please check your National Societies’ website for further information about travel grants they may be offering to their young members to foster their attendance of the ECI 2015 congress.

 

ÖGAI Travel Grants for Early Career Scientist from Developing Countries

 

The Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology (ÖGAI) will be awarding 10 travel grants at the value of EURO 600.- each for young post-docs and PhD-students under 35 years of age from developing countries requesting financial support to attend the ECI 2015.

Application deadline: extended until May 10, 2015.

To be eligible for an ÖGAI travel grant, the applicant must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted to the ECI 2015.

ECI-AAI Travel Grants for Trainees from Developing Countries

 

The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) is pleased to offer up to 40 travel grants to trainees (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows) under 35 years of age from developing countries to attend the ECI 2015. Recipients will be reimbursed up to EUR 600.- for their travel expenses to the meeting.

Application deadline: extended until May 10, 2015.

To be eligible for an ECI-AAI Travel Grant for scientists from developing countries, the applicant must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted to the ECI 2015.

For a list of eligible developing countries please click here. Please note that AAI cannot provide awards to scientists living in any countries which are subject to sanctions by the U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control.

The International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) will be awarding 10 fellowships at the value of EURO 600.- each for young post-docs and PhD-students under 35 years of age requesting financial support to attend the ECI 2015.

AAI Travel Grants

 

The American Association of Immunologists (AAI) is pleased to offer travel grants to trainees, early-career faculty (assistant professor or equivalent), and mid-career faculty (associate professor or equivalent) to attend the ECI 2015. Recipients will be reimbursed up to $2,000 US for their travel expenses to the meeting.

Application deadline: April 15, 2015.

To be eligible for an AAI travel grant, the applicant must be an AAI member in good standing for two consecutive years (2014 and 2015). The applicant must also be an author on an abstract submitted to the ECI 2015. 

Preference will be given to 1) first authors of abstracts, and 2) applicants with no more than $250,000 in total research funding from all sources (excluding PI salary). Only one member from a laboratory will be eligible to receive a grant. Applicants may not combine an AAI Travel Grant with any other travel grant or award to ECI 2015.
